CHROMA is a cross-disciplinary creative studio founded by Ladin Awad, June Canedo & Sienna Fekete. As a collective, we are intentional in our efforts to diversify our industries and nurture a cultural consciousness that centers womxn of color. Chroma offers strategies for innovative programming, visual content, immersive experiences, effective partnerships, and community empowerment. 



Meet The Team

Ladin Awad is a filmmaker, producer and organizer by way of Sudan and New York City. Her work has been featured at the Queens Museum, MoCADA, Frieze New York as well as in publications like VICE, NYLON, Fusion, OkayAfrica, and more. A maker across mediums – her work is concerned with notions of home, identity, and belonging through a Black diasporic lens. Seeking to interrupt the linear and monolithic narratives assigned to the communities she occupies, she practices visual and innovative forms of storytelling, as well as curates immersive and experiential art programming.

June Canedo is an artist working in New York via Brasil & South Carolina. Since releasing her first photography project turned book in 2014 titled Brazilian Girls, Canedo has worked with select clients including Vogue Magazine, The New York Times, Bang & Olufsen, Teen Vogue, SSENSE, Telfar, Barragan, Nike, Netflix, and more. 

Sienna Fekete is a producer based in New York City with a background in radio, podcasting and music media. She has worked exclusively with BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra on music programming, and in podcast production with Red Bull Arts, Top Rank Magazine, and SiriusXM. She most recently contributed audio to the 2017 Well-Read Black Girl Conference, produced a podcast panel in February of 2018 titled “The Evolution of the Sister Circle: From Orishas to Podcasting” exploring how black women carry the oral tradition, and is a frequent collaborator with Playground Coffee Shop x 8Ball Radio on local radio programming in Brooklyn.
